Color Country RC&D -
Utah NRCS

Established in September 1972, the Color Country Resource
Conservation and Development (RC&D) Area submitted an application for
authorization to the Department of Agriculture. Federal authorization was
received in 1974 and the Council is fully operational. The Color Country
RC&D covers Beaver, Iron, Kane, Garfield, and Washington Counties in Utah.
The RC&D Council is assisted by Project Coordinator,
Clayton J. Ramsay. This position is being funded by the Department of
Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Vision
To stimulate local activities that promote the economic, social, and
environmental improvement in southwestern Utah by properly conserving,
developing, and utilizing the natural and human resources to enhance the quality
of life in all communities in the Color Country RC&D area.
Mission
Provide to local leadership, the opportunities to coordinate and fully
utilize the services of all available resources and improve the community’s
economy, environment, and way of live.
