Uinta Headwaters RC&D

Designated by the Secretary of Agriculture in 1998, the Uinta Headwaters
Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) area (formerly the
Mountainlands RC&D) encompasses three counties in Utah: Summit, Utah, and
Wasatch. The Uinta Headwaters RC&D is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) 3
non-profit public charity and is comprised of representatives of local units of
government and businesses throughout the area.
The goals and objectives of the Council are:
- Retain the natural and scenic attributes which make its counties
attractive for recreation and settlement
- Experience an economy which is both diverse and strong and is built around
our agricultural heritage and the needs of our growing population
- Work to achieve sufficient and clear water supplies for all residents,
recreation, wildlife, and infrastructure needs.
- Increase the opportunity for citizens to have access to affordable housing
